Antimicrobial Nanomaterials: A Review

Microbial colonization on various surfaces is a serious problem. Biofilms from these microbes pose health and economic threats. In addition, the recent global pandemic has also attracted great interest in latest techniques technology for antimicrobial surface coatings. Incorporating nanocompounds into materials to prevent microbial adhesion or kill microorganisms become an increasingly challenging strategy. Recently, many studies have been conducted preparation of nanomaterials with properties against diseases caused by pathogens. Despite tremendous efforts produce antibacterial materials, there little systematic research this article, we set out provide comprehensive overview nanomaterials-based coatings that can be used stop spread contamination surfaces. Typically, simple deposits nanomaterials, embedded as well nanotubes, nanowires, nanocolumns, nanofibers, nanoneedles, bio-inspired structures.
